Operations coordinator

This is the job that decides whether 7:45 means anything. Scheduled rides fire automatically, and someone still has to notice that Monday morning has fourteen standing trips and eleven drivers online, and fix that on Sunday night rather than at 06:40.
What you would do
- Run the live board: assign, reassign, and unblock trips as they happen
- Look ahead at the scheduled queue and arrange cover before it is a problem
- Handle escalations from passengers and drivers, including safety incidents
- Keep the record straight. What happened, when, and what was done about it
What you would need
- Calm under a ringing phone and a moving map at the same time
- Clear written English and at least one other South African language
- Comfort with dispatch software; you do not need to have built any
- Willingness to work early mornings, because that is when this matters
Straight with you
Early starts are the job, not a phase of it. The 7:45 does not move because the coordinator would prefer a 09:00 start.
