Safety and compliance lead
Own 745 Shield end to end, and the regulatory work that keeps the platform legal to operate.
This role is not open yet. It describes work 745 needs doing as the platform grows, and no budget is approved for it today. Write to us anyway if it is yours. We would rather know you exist before the requisition does.
Safety at 745 is a product with a price on it, not a page of reassurance. Shield credits are bought before they are needed and consumed on a press. Someone has to own what happens after that press, and separately own the NPTR and POPIA obligations that let the platform exist at all.
What you would do
- Define and run the response process behind a Shield activation
- Own driver vetting, document verification and the standard for both
- Keep the platform's regulatory position current, including NPTR registration
- Investigate incidents properly, and write down what was learned
What you would need
- Experience in safety, compliance, investigation or policing
- Genuine familiarity with South African transport regulation
- The judgement to tell a founder that something cannot ship
- Discretion. You will read chat transcripts from people's worst nights
